Mapping.

Plain table survey of the existing conditions was carried out by surveyors and plan of the entire slum was generated.

Which helped the beneficiaries locate their houses in wasti and condition of the slum like the density and the street.

The effort has been to retain the overall fabric of the slum in terms of existing street patterns and existing footprints. Thus, an attempt has been made, as far as possible, to contain the design within the existing footprint of the temporary houses.
