Visit by Janette Sadik - Khan and the Team from NACTO on Aundh Smart Street.

---------------------------------------
Janette Sadik - Khan, the Ex Commissioner of New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) visited the Aundh Smart Street on Nov 28th, 2018 at 6 : 00 pm and was accompanied by the representatives from NACTO Ms. Skye Duncan and Mr. Abhimanyu Prakash. She appreciated the efforts taken by everyone involved and commented on the state of the streets around the City of Pune.

Streets are meant for people and its the people who should design and use them. Considering the commercial nature of the DP Road, she quoted " Cars don't Shop, but People do ... " suggesting the prioritization of pedestrian infrastructure over vehicles.

Her visit to work is real inspiration to the PDA Team,

As a note to PDA Team, she wrote :

Dear PDA Team,

Thanks for your inspiring work transforming the streets of Pune. Keep Fighting!
