This is National University of Singapore. A very interesting institutional project in the heart of Singapore. This is a very good example of how institutions shouldn’t be stand alone structures but should also merge with the urban realm. In this case it creates a vibrant public realm between the city and the institution which establishes a connect between them.The facade also doesn’t stand as very harsh structure in the city but the complete skin of creepers lightens the structure and merges it with the green realm.

South Beach is designed by Norman Foster and Partners. It’s a hotel cum public realm with recreation spaces the metro station etc.Their is a large "environmental filter" canopy that covers the open spaces, linking conservation buildings with the two high-rise towers and providing shelter from the elements and drawing air currents to cool the area beneath it. The first storey will be laid out with a series of internal streets, with the aim of enhancing street level vibrancy and allowing pedestrians to move about easily. It also features sunken courtyards, tiered gardens lined with shops, and food and beverage outlets.Public transport is integrated via a direct ‘green’ link to Esplanade MRT station.
